About RAG

Independent, nonpartisan, and institution-facing by design.

RAG is intentionally independent of executive politics and of every class of market participant it analyzes. We work with public agencies, market operators, and industry participants across administrations, focused on technical credibility, transparency, and unbiased reporting in the public interest.

Our mission

Why RAG exists

American power grid investment is entering a very large capital cycle, driven by reliability requirements and heterogeneous large-load growth. This wave is colliding with planning, regulatory, and market frameworks that were never designed to allocate costs, risks, and benefits transparently at this scale or speed. RAG exists to close that gap.

How we work

We provide curated power-system data, explainable physics-informed analytics, and independent grid-development reporting — designed specifically for regulators, legislators, institutional stakeholders, and the ratepayer interests they represent. Our modules are engineered as reusable, standardized products, not bespoke consulting engagements.

Governance & independence

No captive relationships

Structural independence

RAG is independent of the AI industry, data center developers, utilities, independent power producers, and energy producers. We do not sell analytics in service of any single class of market participant, and we take no side in a proceeding beyond the accuracy of our own models.

Secure handling of protected data

CEII & data security

Where required, RAG operates secure analytic "enclaves" that allow institutional subscribers to analyze protected or proprietary data — including Critical Energy/Electric Infrastructure Information — under appropriate federal safeguards, supporting federated learning without public disclosure of sensitive inputs.
